P90X – I’m back
I got a new position at West which moved me to daytime hours. For the past three months, I’ve not done P90X at all. This meant tonight I needed to start all over, beginning with the fit test. Here are the results side by side with my original test, in parentheses, back on September 20th. Original heart rate tests were done by counting, so are approximate.
Resting Heart Rate – 62 (68)
Pull Ups w/ 3 bands – 50 (18)
Vertical Leap – 21″ (20.5″)
Push Ups – 36 (27)
Toe Touch – +4.5″ (+0.75″)
Wall Squat – 1:15 (0:52)
Bicep Curls w/ 3 bands – 28 (21)
In & Outs – 27 (15)
Heart Rate Maximizer – 177 (150)
- One minute rest – 143 (142)
- Two minute rest – 129 (132)
- Three minute rest – 119 (124)
- Four minute rest – 115 (124)
Not bad for taking three months off after only getting through five weeks of the original go at it.

In reference to using all three bands from this kit: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Gold-s-Gym-Long-Series-Resistance-Tube-Kit-with-DVD/12167849
I’d like a pull up bar, but I don’t have a good place to install a permanent one that is convenient and I haven’t thought too much on getting one that positions onto your door frame.
